+1-833-845-1858 Do you get a refund if you cancel a JetBlue flight?

If you need to cancel a JetBlue flight, whether you get a refund depends on the ticket type and when you cancel. Refundable tickets allow you to cancel at any time before your flight and get all your money back on the original payment. If you don’t cancel in time, the amount usually becomes a credit you can use within a year.

For non-refundable tickets, canceling before your flight means you’ll pay a cancellation fee, and the rest of the money turns into travel credit for future flights. If you miss the cancellation window or no-show, you won’t get any money back.

Blue Basic tickets are the most restrictive. You can cancel within 24 hours of booking without a fee if your flight is more than seven days away. After that, canceling costs a fee, and you get a credit for the rest.

JetBlue also offers a 24-hour grace period after booking. If you cancel within this time and your flight is at least seven days away, you get a full refund regardless of the ticket type.

In some cases like illness or family emergencies, JetBlue might give you a refund or credit if you can prove your situation. Military fares usually allow free cancellations too.

You can cancel your flight online, in the app, or by calling JetBlue. To avoid losing money, cancel early and check your ticket’s rules when you buy it.
